Thao 'Sandy' Doan paid her student $28,000 to keep their sexual relationship a secret
Police in Dallas, Texas arrested Sandy (27-years-old) of Raul Quintanilla Senior Middle School in West Oak Cliff for allegedly engaging with a 14-year-old student. The boy's mother discovered the text message exchange between her son and his teacher a few days before her arrest. She also supposedly paid the student $28,000 to keep silent.
According to court records, Doan's affair with the student occurred on different occasions between 2015 and 2016.
Doan was charged with a single count of 'improper relationship between an educator and student.'
She is currently out on bond.
